Audio Training Program
Taidong’s unique cultural landscape is well suited for hosting a diverse array of musical events which in turn will bring much vibrancy to this treasured land.
The"2011 Latin Summer in Taidong" concerts and workshops left all participants with beautiful memories however organizers of the event became very aware of the need for professional audio and sound personnel in Taidong.
The music industry in Taidong has great potential to grow with its abundance of talented performers, a rich tradition of tribal culture, and a pristine natural environment. When combined with trained professional sound and stage technicians, Taidong has a promising future to become a leader in the music industry of Taiwan.
From September, 2011 to January, 2012, Alliance hosted an "Audio Training Seminar." Trainees included students from Taidong’s adult education and vocational high schools, members of the PawPaw Drum Team, and local audio technicians. Mr. Li Hong-Song, owner of Duan Huang Music and an accomplished sound engineering master served as the lecturer. He introduced trainees to various sound mixing techniques and equipment and provided valuable hands on experience and insights to the importance of audio engineering.
To facilitate the training, the Wenly Audio Company donated a set of professional audio equipment to the Bixilian Cultural Center where the PawPaw Drum Team performs. With updated sound equipment and its naturally beautiful setting, Bixiliang Cultural Center has the potential to become an attractive venue for future performing art events.
One of the trainees from the seminar originally thought he was to be trained as a DJ. He was appreciative that the seminar taught him the basic skills of audio engineering which will allow him to pursue additional employment opportunities.
