NGO Training Program
More and more, the Taiwanese youth are increasingly aware of the underlying social issues of the country. With the growth of individuals, from diverse professional backgrounds, joining non-governmental organizations (NGO) such as The Alliance Cultural Foundation (ACF), ACF recognizes the need to establish an operating standard within the workforce to maximize its operating potential and efficiency. In March 2013, ACF collaborates with IBM and Microsoft, to form a training program for its employees, inviting five NGOs across Taiwan to share knowledge, and maximize its lectures.
The monthly lectures include software training from Microsoft, as well as project management training from IBM lecturers and consultants. The program empowers staff to conduct day-to-day operations efficiently, while optimizing the use of existing tools provided. Additionally, the group training offered participating NGOs the opportunity to better understand one another’s organizations, as well as team building.
All lectures are documented for internal use – for newcomers or for employees who seek revision. The training program aims to create stronger NGO workforces, enabling them to operate more resourcefully, and to be able to eventually do more good for its communities.
